I was 15 when I tried it and 19 when I stopped trying it. I can't say I was ever addicted, maybe doing it a dozen times in those four years. If you ever wanted to feel like no one in the world could touch you, that you could climb any mountain or multi-task better than Martha Stewart, this is your drug. Every thing about it is fast. You're a fast talker, fast thinker, fast doer. I had never been a doer. I always thought about ideas I had, or getting things done early. No matter what I thought or did I would still procrastinate the hell out of everything. I would tell myself that I worked better under pressure. Then a line of powder and a straw changed my mind completely. I was a doer. Do you have any idea how hard it is to stop being a doer?

I guess for me all it took was one long glance in the mirror one day. At 85 lbs and sitting in a chair not even noticing I was scratching the wood with my nails, rocking back and forth as my body convulsed with chills and sweat draped my neck and forehead I realized that this was not attractive nor was it classy in any sense. Keep in mind however I was not addicted to cocaine and it really wasn't that hard not to do. I could get the same high with less effects out of adderall. But that is another story.
